The Balti House in Victoria Street celebrates the part of Indian cuisine known as the Balti.
Originating from Pakistan, the Balti has been made famous by Birmingham in England and it is from here that The Balti House takes its inspiration. Chefs prepare the fresh spice mix and sauces each day to create the mild curries that are drier than usual Indian curries.
The restaurant offers a selection of meat, seafood, and vegetarian Balti dishes accompanied by rice, pickles, and chutneys. Naan and roti breads are also recommended and diners are encouraged to use their breads to scoop up the curry, as is the traditional way of eating.
The dessert menu continues the theme with dishes including Indian ice cream and lassi in various flavours.
