Find the Cable Car at Cable Car Lane off Lambton Quay in Wellington city centre. The Cable Car travels through three historic tunnels and crosses three bridges on its route uphill.

There are three intermediate stops at the residential suburbs of Clifton, Talavera, and Salamanca. From Salamanca Station, you can reach Victoria University of Wellington and Kelburn Park Fountain.

At the summit, enjoy expansive views over Wellington city and harbour. For the return, you can either walk back via several scenic paths through the Botanic Garden, including a 40-minute trail passing Bolton Street Cemetery and the Beehive, or take the Cable Car down to the city for a more relaxed option.
