Update: Currently closed. Due to open again in October 2021.
Located at the iconic Basin Reserve cricket ground in Wellington, the New Zealand Cricket Museum is a chance to walk through some of the game's momentous times.
The museum explores the history of cricket in New Zealand from its introduction to the country in the 1800s to the modern day game in all its formats.
Among the memorabilia on show is one of the world's oldest bats and equipment used by some of New Zealand's best cricketers including Sir Richard Hadlee and Stephen Fleming.
From Labour Weekend in October until ANZAC weekend in April: Saturday and Sunday, 10.30am - 3.30pm. The museum is also open when matches are being played at the Basin Reserve.
The museum is open by appointment only in winter.
