Right in the heart of Hataitai, one of Wellington’s most colourful suburbs, the Realm Restaurant and Bar is the perfect example of what a local should be.
Since the 1930s, the Realm has been the meeting place for Hataitai residents as well as a draw to visitors from further afield. One of the big attractions is the Realm’s fantastic restaurant, serving fresh, New Zealand cuisine seven nights a week. The pizza is a perennial favourite, and the $6 Brunch and Sunday Roast are weekly traditions for many of our guests.
Every local has a great bar, but the Realm does one better: it has two. The Front Bar is a great place to stop in for a fun night of socialising with friends, playing pool, betting on the TAB or watching the game on the big screen TV. Meanwhile, the Back Bar is stocked with great beers and wines, both local and imported.
And finally, the Realm lets you take some for the road: the Realm Bottlestore has great prices on wine and beer and also has the honour of being the only drive-thru bottle story in Wellington!
