Situated in the Embassy Theatre complex in the heart of Wellington's theatre and arts district, Capitol is a popular pre-event dinner spot that also offers lunch and brunch at weekends.
The small restaurant takes bookings for lunch, but not for dinner, and it can get busy during the city's arts and film festivals. Dishes are based around seasonal produce, which means the menu is regularly changing, and have an Italian influence including an antipasto to share.
Capitol is well known among locals for its fish dishes and has a special fish of the day on the dinner menu. Brunch is available at weekends including pancakes, bruschetta, and sardines on toast.
