Most of the major car rental companies are located at Wellington Airport including, Avis, Budget, Hertz, Entreprise, Europcar, Thrifty and Ezi. You’ll see the car rental counters on the Ground Level next to domestic baggage claim. Wellington Airport is around a 20 minute drive, from the town centre although around 40 minutes during peak traffic times. A number of the rental companies also have downtown locations.
