Wedding Venues The Waihōanga River Lodge and Retreat offers serenity and intimacy on its Ōtaki grounds.  Situated just over an hour away from downtown Wellington, the venue is nestled in a rural landscape of rivers, forests and countryside.

The venue is available to hire for groups, businesses, retreats, families, weddings and school groups and has the facilities to sleep up to 38 people, or up to 80 if you include camping.  

Enjoy the natural surroundings in style with relaxing spaces, indoor fireplaces, marquees and outdoor games.

The peaceful and fully private retreat includes a lodge (sleeping up to 26), 2 nearby huts and 2 larger cabins, a camping field, large garden area, extensive woodlands and access to the beautiful Otaki River.
