Begin with hotel or i-Site pickup before heading to the Hutt Valley. Your first stop is Dry Creek Quarry, the filming location for Helm’s Deep and Minas Tirith.

Next, visit the River Anduin (Hutt River), where the Fellowship traveled to Amon Hen. Continue to Harcourt Park, the site of the Gardens of Isengard, where Gandalf met Saruman.

Then explore Rivendell at Kaitoke Regional Park, the Elves’ home. Walk through the park and see the nearby river where Éomer rescues Théodred. Adventurous travelers may cross the swing bridge over the Hutt River.

Proceed to the Weta Workshop in Miramar for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour. See how props and weapons are created and possibly meet artists at work.
