Tour Description

Starting with pickup from the cruise terminal or Wellington city, the tour begins with an introduction to Te Papa Tongarewa, New Zealand’s national museum. You will then travel along Oriental Bay, stopping first at the famous Wellington sign for photos.

Learn about Miramar’s film industry heritage and conservation efforts on the peninsula, followed by a photo stop on the South Coast overlooking the harbour entrance, Cape Palliser, and the South Island, weather permitting.

The journey continues around the coast and under the airport runway to Mt Victoria Lookout, where you will have the opportunity for photos featuring panoramic views of the city and harbour. The tour then passes through Courtenay Place and Cuba Street, with commentary on Wellington’s café, coffee, and craft beer culture complete with local recommendations.

Next, you will be dropped at the Cable Car (ticket included). At the top, there is time for another photo, souvenir shopping, or visiting the mini-museum. The tour concludes with a drive past the Beehive, Parliament Buildings, and Old St Paul’s Cathedral.
