Kaitoke Regional Park ligger 12 km norr om Upper Hutt och är cirka 45 minuters bilresa från Wellington. I foten av Tararua Mountain Range täcker den magnifika parken 2860 hektar. Hutt River Gorge, skogklädda kullar, rimu, rata och strandskog väntar besökare.

Parken har flodbassänger lämpliga för simning, vackra skogsklädda stigar och var också platsen för inspelningen av Rivendell i Sagan om Ringen-filmen.

Hutt River Gorge är ett fantastiskt äventyr för kajakpaddlare med klass 3 forsar och utsikt över skog som varit orörd i hundratals år.
