Mac's Function Centre is building a reputation for hosting remarkable events in a remarkable space. 

Mac's Function Centre is a purpose-built, architecturally designed function space, with stunning harbour views.  The venue has an almost New York-loft feel, providing guests with magnificent open-plan spaces, all with natural light, while being located in the heart of Wellington's picturesque waterfront precinct.

The venue draws clients from all sectors of the market, from government departments to corporates all wanting a space with a point of difference. 

Mac's Function Centre can seat up to 350 for a plated dinner, or up to 700 for a cocktail style function. There is vehicle access into the ground floor of the venue, while conference delegates have access to unlimited free Wi-Fi - one less cost for guests to worry about.  

As the weather warms up, our clients are enjoying using our outdoor spaces, which provide delegates the opportunity to take in the stunning Wellington harbour at breaks.

ROOMS:

The Cable Room is located on the ground floor with direct access via the function centre entrance on Taranaki Street, and includes a spacious pre-function lobby area ideal for registration.  Due to its ground floor location, this space is extremely popular with trade shows as pack in is seamless, moving from the loading zone outside the venue straight into the room. The Cable room itself has no pillars and great natural light.  As it's located on the ground floor, the room allows access for vehicles so is very popular for car launches or, clients wanting to bring in a branded vehicle to enhance any sponsorship partnerships or, just to further market their brand. With its stunning hardwood floor and mix of brick and wood feature walls it's also a unique space for evening events. The coloured concept lighting throughout the room also gives the Cable Room a great ambience for evening events

The Waterfront Room, located on level 1 of the venue, includes fantastic harbour views which can be enjoyed either from the large balcony or the windows which run the length of the room.  The room has some amazing brick feature walls and mood lighting for evening events. For day events, the room has great natural light.  The Waterfront Room can be divided in two so has the ability to cater to smaller events or breakout rooms. The room can also be opened up to create one large space with the inclusion of the Te Aro room.

The Te Aro Room is an amazing space which has an almost New York loft feel to it.  With its stunning saw tooth roof and no pillars, the room is popular for both larger conferences and Gala dinners.  As with the other two spaces again the Te Aro Room has great natural light.  The Te Aro room also has a large foyer area ideal for registration as well as a smoking balcony.  As mentioned above, the Te Aro room can also be combined with the adjoining Waterfront room if a larger space or break-out rooms are required.
